Nov 1, 2023

Applications are now open for AABE and AABE-SJC's annual scholarship program.

The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a professional association composed of African Americans in the energy industry. Through its Scholarship Program, the Association seeks to help increase the number of African American, Latinx/Hispanic, and Native American (underrepresented minorities) professionals in energy-related fields. By doing so, we help our nation address a critical need and a challenge to our future economic vitality in the world market.

Scholarship recipients, known as AABE Scholars, are selected each Spring by the organization’s Local Chapter Scholarship Committee for local scholarships and by the National Scholarship Committee for national scholarships. Recipients will receive notification of their selection.

The South Jersey Chapter of AABE provides various scholarship award amounts. The Local Chapter Scholarship Committee will review the applications received and select local scholarship winners, from which the top-ranked candidates will be shared with the National Scholarship Committee for consideration of a $3,000 Mid-Atlantic Regional Award, as well as a $5,000 National Award.

Submit Application from November 1 to April 15, 2023
